Quality & process
Nothing in this process is unusual. Doing all of it, on every lot, without shortcuts — that is the difference buyers actually pay for.
The process
Each step below removes a specific source of variability. Skip one and it shows up in the pack.
Lotus seeds are collected from Champaran's freshwater ponds by farming families who have worked these waters for generations.
Raw seeds are sun-dried in controlled batches to bring moisture down to the level required for clean popping.
Seeds are roasted and popped in quick succession. Timing here decides the crunch, colour and size of the finished pop.
Husk, grit and broken seed are removed by hand. This is the step that separates premium lots from ordinary ones.
Pops are machine-graded by diameter into 4 Sutta through 6+ Sutta so every pack holds a consistent size profile.
Moisture, colour and foreign-matter checks are recorded per lot before a batch is cleared for packing.
Packed to buyer specification — retail pouch, vacuum pack or bulk carton — sealed, labelled and readied for despatch.
